In 2009 the SCIFL managers voted to change the format of tournaments.  The separate divisions would be eliminated and all teams would play against each other.  Teams will still play round robin on Saturday that will seed them into the Sunday single-elimination bracket by pools.  To create equality in the schedule the managers also voted to allow the tournament director to "place" teams into the pools so that one pool or team wouldn't have an advantage or disadvantage over others. 

At the October 2009 meeting the managers once again voted to eliminate the separate pools that seeded in the single elimination bracket.  In 2010 all teams would be in one pool and be seeded into the single elimination bracket by order of finish.
